Mercia Fell Runners New Registration System
The Mercia race registration spreadsheet that has been a failtful servant for more than twenty years has been retired. May it rest in peace. In its place is a far more capable bespoke system that will run in any modern web browser on any device, nothing to download, just visit racemaster.merciafr.club and you 've got it.
It does eveything the old speradsheet did and more. There are usage hints here. The workflow to use it is:
- visit racemaster.merciafr.club
- register for an account (or log-in to an existing one)
- select a 'dataset' or create a new one
- fill in the event details
- register competitors
- log finishers
- publish results
You only need internet access to setup the event, thereafter you can disappear into the wild, where there is no internet, and run your race. When you come back into internet range your race details are automatically syncd to the server. The only constraint is to use the same browser on the same device to setup and run your race.
Results are published as single web-page that can be linked to or embedded anywhere. Here is an example.
