Informal night race; route will be heavily marked (unless ponies knock the markers down or tourists pinch them). Head torch, map, compass, waterproof top with hood and trousers, hat and gloves and suitable running shoes (the first half of the descent is steep and slick). Proceeds to local charities. Christmas fancy dress "essential" (as is full FRA kit please).

For 2025: The race route is going to be back to the "original" route. That is up Rectory field, up 100 steps and up the ridge to Yearlet summit. And then down into Townbrook Hollow, into Rectory wood to finish at the Scout hut.
